“I have been taking my animals to Dr. Maxwell for years and she has always provided the best in care. Even so, I never could have anticipated the events of the last few days. I brought my bunny in for what we thought was some constipation, but it turned out to be bladder stones, requiring surgery. The surgery was scheduled for the following morning, which happened to be the day prior to a trip out of town. The surgery yielded more information and unfortunately the news wasn’t good. Her condition was unique and would require specialized equipment. Dr. Maxwell spent hours of her own time calling around to local vets with the equipment but they wouldn’t assist. She didn’t give up and wouldn’t take no for an answer. She ended up getting the vet school at UF to take her case. By this time, we were out of town. Dr. Maxwell personally took my bunny to Gainesville and made sure she was in the very best hands. She’s is receiving 24 hour care and we are getting multiple updates daily. The best of which was this morning, when we learned that her surgery was a success!! We owe our bunny’s life to Dr. Maxwell’s tireless efforts. I also have to commend her amazing support staff, the vet techs, the front desk. Everyone comes together to take care of our fur babies and in doing so, take care of us as well.”
